April 12 2026 - Hungarian Elections
After 16 long years Viktor Orbán, the Obstructor in EU speak, is out of power, having lost the Hungarian parliamentary elections to Péter Magyar in a landslide.
As of this posting, the votes are still being counted, but it looks like Péter Magyar’s Tisza will win two thirds of the seats, which means a super-majority in parliament. If in the end they do, they can start the work of correcting all the wrongs done during the Obstructor’s rule.
Whatever the result, tonight is the night for celebrations.
Congratulation for a job well done.
A Hungarian friend messaged me just now:
“We did it! Yesss”
